Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a burner for an entrained bed gasification apparatus enabling stable ignition near the fuel spouting port and keeping the good combustion state.
SOLUTION: A fuel such as coal or char is preliminarily mixed with a part of a gasification agent 4 in a burner 11a before charging into a gasification furnace. As an alternative, a fuel such as coal or char and a premixing gas (a part of gasification agent 4) are charged into a burner 11a. In the above process, either one or both of the fuel such as coal or char and the premixing gas are tangentially introduced into the burner from a side of the burner relative to the axis of the burner to get a velocity component in the circumferential direction.
