For the cabinet 1 for the notebook-size personal computer, a storage part 6 is formed by providing the box body 2 with shelf plates 4 in two or more stages, it is closed by a door 11 and locking is made possible. A power receptacle 9 is provided in each storage part 6 and the notebook-size personal computer 5 is individually charged. Also, the opening/closing of the door 11 is detected by a proximity switch 14 and the take-in/take-out of the notebook-size personal computer 5 is monitored by a remote personal computer. In the case that abnormality occurs, an alarming means 17 is operated to report that to surroundings and also an alarm is outputted to the remote personal computer.
