To provide a cable detection apparatus, or the like, which can contribute to detecting a cable-like object accurately while suppressing the time and effort or calculation load.SOLUTION: A cable detection apparatus includes: a straight line detection unit configured to detect a straight line by projecting a point group located in an area of an arbitrary height in point groups relating to imaging data, on a horizontal plane; and a catenary line detection unit configured to detect a catenary line as a cable by restoring the point group on the basis of the straight line detected by the straight line detection unit and projecting the point group on a predetermined vertical plane.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 9
