Abstract:
To provide a cable terminal structure on which an electric field relaxing part and an insulating sheath can be easily mounted without requiring any skill of a worker such that a gap is less likely to be generated between the electric field relaxing part and an outside semiconductor layer of a power cable.SOLUTION: A cable terminal structure 1 includes a power cable 10, a terminal 2 having a connection portion 21 connected to a peeled portion of a conductor 11, which is formed by performing peeling so as to expose the conductor 11, an insulating layer 12, and an outside semiconductor layer 13 in order from an end side of the power cable 10, and a tubular insulating coating member 3 that is a coating at least extending from a peeled portion of the outside semiconductor layer 13 to the connection portion 21 of the terminal 2. The insulating coating member 3 includes a tubular electric field relaxing part 31 that is a coating in contact with the peeled portion of the outside semiconductor layer 13, and a tubular insulating sheath 32 that is a coating in contact with a cable portion extending from an outer surface of the electric field relaxing part 31 to an outer surface of the connection portion 21 of the terminal 2. The elastic shrinkage force of the electric field relaxing part 31 is greater than that of the insulating sheath 32.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
