Abstract:
PURPOSE: To increase degrees of engagement and to improve calking strength by nailing a calking blade part with posture so as to be set in an oblique direction for the thickness direction of a tongue piece, and forming a draft recessed part at the end face of the projecting part of the tongue piece.
CONSTITUTION: A pair of calking blade parts 31 are provided at a calking die 3 to calk side plates 1a, 1b and a shell plate 2a, however, the calking blade part 31 is formed in chevron cross-section extending from one side in the longitudinal direction of the tongue piece 21 to another side confronting with the side in a linearly oblique direction. Also, the draft recessed part is formed at the end face of the projecting part of the tongue piece 21 by nailing the calking blade part 31 with posture in the oblique direction for the thickness direction of the tongue piece 21. In this way, the degree of deformation of a calking piece formed at both terminal parts in the longitudinal direction of the tongue piece 21 can be increased, and also, the degree of engagement with the calking piece and a calking hole 11 can be increased, which enables this method to be sufficiently used in the calking of a thin plate to be mounted and the plates together.
