A digital still camera 9 picks up an image. The camera 9 has a memory for storing image pickup frame and a memory for transfer image data and transfers automatically the picked-up image data to a laboratory shop. The laboratory shop has printing equipment 10. The printing equipment 10 has a data receiving part 30, an image storage file 31, a digital printer 32, and a bill issuing printer 33. Image data transferred from the camera 9 are stored in the image recording file 31 on the basis of identification data. Then, on the basis of the image data and print command data, the data are digitally printed out by the digital printer 32. Since the image data are transferred for every image pickup, lots of frames are picked up unrestrictedly without taking care about the storage capacity. Since data are thus transferred, a hard copy is quickly obtained.
