PURPOSE: To provide a camera capable of detecting the information of the sensitivity of a photographic film by an inexpensive reader.

CONSTITUTION: The detecting arm 17a of a detecting lever 17 is projected into a cartridge loading chamber 9. The detecting lever 17 is turned to one of three positions in accordance with the presence of the loading of a film cartridge and further, its notch at the time of loading it. A display plate 17c provided with three kinds of display marks is integrated to the detecting lever 17 and the sensitivity of the film is automatically switched and the presence of the loading, the sensitivity of the film are displayed in accordance with the position of the detecting lever 17.
