Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a capacitor having a prediction maintenance function, capable of properly predicting the replacement time during its use.
SOLUTION: A body capacitor 1 which carries out the main functions of an electrical circuit, a metallized film deteriorated in proportionally with its use is rolled up into a capacitor element, the capacitor element is housed in a case to serve as an attached capacitor 2 of small scale, the attached capacitor 2 is mounted on the body capacitor 1, a voltage applied to the body capacitor 1 is applied to the attached capacitor 2 to start it operating, a state change such as pressure, amount of hydrogen, and capacity reduction generated in the attached capacitor 2 proportional to the state of usage, or a reduction in a metal conductive surface of the metallized film of the attached capacitor is detected, and the remnant of the service life of the body capacitor 1 is predicted based on the detected values.
