Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a capsule transport apparatus which transports a capsule filled with excavated muck from a shaft or an inclined shaft through a transport pipe simultaneously with excavation of the shaft or the inclined shaft by a tunnel excavator, wherein connection/ disconnection of a capsule storage short pipe to/from a lower end of the transport pipe is simply and correctly carried out only by horizontally moving the short pipe without vertical movement of the same, to thereby efficiently carry the muck out of the shaft.
SOLUTION: According to the capsule transport apparatus, the lower end of the transport pipe 7 arranged between the interior of the shaft and a ground location is formed into an inclined lower end face 7a, and an opening upper end face of the capsule storage short pipe 9 is formed into an inclined upper end face 9a conforming to the inclined lower end face 7a, which enables the capsule storage short pipe 9 to be connected to/disconnected from the transport pipe 7 only by its reciprocative motion in the horizontal direction. That is, at the time of forward motion, the inclined upper end face 9a of the capsule storage short pipe 9 is disconnected from the inclined lower end face 7a of the transport pipe 7, and horizontally moved to a location below an excavated muck storage section 14 where muck is charged into the capsule. Thereafter, the capsule storage short pipe 9 is backward moved, so that the inclined upper end face 9a is connected to the inclined lower end face 7a of the transport pipe 7, and the former abuts on the latter without positioning between the same.
