Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a carbon fiber precursor acrylic fiber bundle capable of obtaining a carbon fiber bundle excellent in operation stability and mechanical properties while excellently maintaining prevention of fusion between single fibers even when a carbon fiber bundle having many single fibers is manufactured.SOLUTION: The carbon fiber precursor acrylic fiber bundle satisfies following [a]-[c]. [a] An oil component having 0.03 or less seconds of a difference between oscillation periods of a rigid body pendulum at 30°C and 180°C measured by a free damping oscillation method using the pendulum adheres by 0.05-3 mass% to a dry fiber weight. [b] The oil component added to the fiber bundle consists of only elements of C, H, N and O. [c] A proportion of a carbon element in the oil component added to the fiber bundle is 62-75 wt%.
