Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal polyester fiber which has high strength and a high elastic modulus, causes less fusion between fibers, is excellent in step passability in high-order processing step and adhesiveness to e.g. resins and is formed by solid phase polymerization.SOLUTION: A method of producing a liquid crystal polyester fiber comprises applying an inorganic particle (A) and a phosphoric acid based compound (B) to yarn obtained by melt spinning of a liquid crystal polyester, subjecting the resultant body to solid phase polymerization and cleaning. With the adhesion ratio of the phosphoric acid based compound (B) as (b) wt.%, the method meets the condition b≥26. A liquid crystal polyester fiber obtained by the method is also provided.
