Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a long-length carbon nanotube (CNT) fiber having excellent electron emission properties and mechanical strength, to provide a CNT aggregate with desired dimensions in which the CNT fibers are sufficiently entangled, and to provide a CNT setting device in which the CNT aggregate is set.
SOLUTION: The CNT aggregate is formed in such a manner that a plurality of CNT fibers are entangled and integrated, and has dense regions where the CNT fibers are densely entangled, and sparse regions where the CNT fibers are sparsely entangled. The dense regions are more projected than the sparse regions, so that projecting parts are formed to open spaces. Further, the dense regions are formed on a plurality of places, and the distance between the center of either dense region and the center of the other dense region is 2 to 40 μm.
