Abstract:
PURPOSE: To facilitate remote operation of binding and releasing in a device for binding a cask (storage container for spent nuclear fuel) in a hold of a carrying vessel.
CONSTITUTION: A hydraulic cylinder 12 is installed on a back surface of a mounting base 7 on which a frame 3 fixing a cask is placed to slide freely in the axial direction, clamp metals 10 installed on the head side and the rod side of the hydraulic cylinder 12 are reciprocated along a groove 8 formed in the mounting base 7 in the direction of an arrow 6, and inclination surfaces of the clamp metals 10 are pressed to inclination surfaces of clamp seats 11 in the frame 3, so the base 3 is bound on both sides simultaneously. Binding and releasing of the frame 3 can be performed by remote operation of the hydraulic cylinder 12, workers can be protected from exposure.
