A casting die 21 discharges dope 28 from a slit outlet 21a toward a casting band 22. The discharged dope 28 becomes a cast film 30 on the casting band 22. The discharged dope 28 forms a bead 75 ranging from the slit outlet 21a to the casting band 22. An infrared heater 72 radiates infrared rays to the bead 75. In the bead 75 applied with the infrared rays, a solvent evaporates and the drying process proceeds.
