Title:
CATALYST STRUCTURE BODY FOR AIR PURIFICATION
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH10263415
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To widen the adsorptive surface area and lessen the thermal energy loss by separating an adsorption part for adsorbing malodorous components and harmful components in air by an adsorbent and a regeneration part for regenerating the adsorbent by heating and moving the adsorbent between the adsorption part and the regeneration part.

In an adsorption part 6, malodorous components and harmful components in air are adsorbed and removed by an adsorbent. For that, an endless adsorbent belt 11 on which the adsorbent is deposited is installed. In a regeneration part 8, the adsorbent belt 11 adsorbing the malodorous components and harmful components is regenerated and, at the same time, the malodorous components and harmful components are decomposed by a catalyst. The adsorbent belt 11 is rolled on a pulley 12 installed in the regeneration part 8 and on a driving pulley 13 installed on the opposite to the regeneration part 8 while sandwiching the adsorption part 6 between the pulleys 12, 13. The adsorption belt 11 is so arranged as to cross double on the upstream side part and the downstream side part of the adsorption part 6 and as to move between the adsorption part 6 and the regeneration part 8 by rotation of the pulleys 12, 13.
