To raise the temperature of a vaporizer to a temperature capable of vaporizing a liquid fuel, even in a state in which energizing of a vaporizing heater is stopped by inserting a catalytic heater into the vaporizer, transferring reaction heat to the vaporizer, applying radiant heat from a catalytic combustor thereto and giving sufficient heat from the catalytic heater to the vaporizer.
This catalytic combustion equipment comprises a fuel supply unit 1 for supplying liquid fuel, an air supply unit 2 for supplying air for combustion, a vaporizer 3a for vaporizing the fuel, a vaporizing heater 4 provided at a vaporizer, and a catalytic combustor provided downstream of the vaporizer and having air permeability. In this case, the vaporizer is projected to the combustor side, a front end of the fuel supply unit is disposed so as to inject the fuel towards the center of the vaporizer. The air is split in flow, partly injected towards the center of the vaporizer, and residually injected from a periphery of the vaporizer to the combustion part side.
