Abstract:
To obtain a new cell death inhibitor, and to provide a method for inhibiting the cell death.
This cell death inhibitor is characterized by containing a fish milt extract containing nucleic acid and protamines as main ingredients. The cell death inhibitor is preferably produced from a fish selected from the group consisting of salmon, trout, herring, and cod, and can suitably be used for especially inhibiting delayed neurocyte apoptosis caused by ischemia.
