Abstract:
To restrain lateral movement of a chain.
In this chain guide disposed on the chain tension side of an engine system, a groove for guiding and controlling a chain is formed by fitting side rails 15, 17 tapered inwards toward the middle of the guide. The largest lateral movement generated in the middle of a chain span is restrained at a narrow part in the middle of the groove guide.
