To provide a charging system for an electric car which adds use charge of a charger on the basis of an electric bill menu of each household regardless of which area charging equipment is installed and performs power transaction among electric power companies.
A charger 3 for charging a battery of an electric car 2, a watt-hour meter 4 for transaction for acquiring customer information and power consumption, and processors 5, 6, 7, 8 of the respective companies for identifying customers of their own companies on the basis of the customer information are connected in a communicable way. The processors 5, 6, 7, 8 have customer information databases 32 for storing their own customer information and are provided with: customer information processing/sorting parts 31 for identifying whether or not customers are their own companies' ones; customer information collation parts 33 for referring to the customer information databases 32 and determining whether or not the power consumption charge of the charger 3 can be added to the electricity use charge of the customer; and customer information processing/sorting parts 31 for calculating power consumption of the charger 3 on the basis of the electricity bill menu of the customers and adding them to the electricity use charges of the customers.
