Abstract:

To obtain a catalyst for enanthio selective epoxidation of a polychiralolefin and enanthio selective oxidation of a polychiralsulfide, and to provide a method using this catalyst.

A catalyst consisting of a salene derivative having a general structure (1) is provided. Further, an epoxychroman manufacturing method using a chiral catalyst for reacting a chromene derivative, an oxygen atom source and a chiral catalyst under a condition requiring for epoxidizing the chromene derivative for a necessary time is provided. A method for manufacturing taxisole or a similar material by the enanthio selective epoxidation of cis- cynnamate derivative is provided. A method for the disproportionation of hydrogen peroxide using the invented catalyst is further provided.
