Abstract:
PURPOSE: To prevent an arc product generated by opening a main contact from escaping through a central opening of a cover by a method wherein a placement means supports a handle partition wall in slidable relationship with the cover, and this partition wall is so constituted as to close the central opening of the cover at all operative positions of the handle. CONSTITUTION: An operation handle 95 pierces through a central opening 304 of a cover 26. The opening 304 has an appropriate size for rotation of the operation handle 95 so that a circuit breaker 20 can be manually operated. The operation handle 95 is formed with a bow-shaped base 310 and a handle part 312 extending in the radial direction. The bow-shaped base 310 is configured complementary to a bow-shaped surface 314 formed adjacent to the central opening 304 over an inner surface of the cover 26. With a handle partition wall 302 supported slidably, the partition wall is slided together with the operation handle 95, and an arc product generated by opening a main contact 32 is prevented from escaping through the cover 26.
