Abstract:
An integrated circuit with digital modules for temporary storage of irregularly received data is designed for minimum possible power consumption. The supply voltage for the storage units and their associated logic circuits is only switched in during the actual data receiving and storage operations. Preferably, the incoming data operate a switch to energise the voltage supply and the stored data keep this switch open for the duration of their storage. The circuit may be controlled by address signals.
