Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a circuit and method for compensating distortion for a power amplifier that has a large amount off compensation and stable characteristics.
SOLUTION: Statistic processing is applied to the error component between an input signal and a feedback signal from the power amplifier and the amplitude of the input signal, and, by employing the least square method, the transfer function of a system to be compensated is approximated by a complex polynomial. A pre-stage distortion compensation device adds distortion with a polarity inverse to nonlinear distortion caused in the power amplifier to the input signal to compensate the nonlinear distortion.
