Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a driving force controller for a four-wheel drive vehicle capable of securing both of original vehicle acceleration performance based on four-wheel drive and vehicle body speed estimation accuracy while improving durability of a friction clutch.
SOLUTION: This driving force controller for the four-wheel drive vehicle having the friction clutch 10 arranged in the middle of an engine drive system to rear wheels 15 and 16 is provided with a 4WD controller 31 performing control for changing a driving force distribution ratio between front wheels 6 and 7 and the rear wheels 15 and 16 to an equal distribution ratio side according to the increase of a clutch engaging force. The driving force controller is also provided with a clutch force reducing control part outputting a clutch engaging force request requirement RQ-TRQ to the 4WD controller 31 for performing an approach to a 2WD condition when a value found by subtracting clutch transmission torque Tr from estimated clutch input torque Tinp is lower than a predetermined value δ and a wheel speed on the left side is substantially equal to that on the right side.
