Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve property of a clay composition.SOLUTION: In a first embodiment, a clay composition is provided which has transparency after being dried, and is produced by: forming a silica dispersion by mixing a non-ionic surfactant, a high-boiling point nonvolatile liquid insoluble to water, and silica; then, mixing the silica dispersion and a polyvinyl acetate emulsion. In a second embodiment, a clay composition is provided which is identical to the clay composition in the first embodiment except that after forming the silica dispersion by mixing an anionic surfactant, water, and silica, the silica dispersion and the polyvinyl acetate emulsion are mixed for producing the clay composition. Since the polyvinyl acetate emulsion is used, adhesion of the clay composition can be enhanced. In addition, the silica is mixed with a dispersant in advance, so that dispersion property of the silica to the clay composition becomes preferable, and the occurrence of aggregate of the silica can be suppressed. Transparency is therefore improved by prevention of white spots, and crack can be prevented.SELECTED DRAWING: None
