Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To maintain excellent cleaning performance for a long term by making a cleaning web abut on a cleaning roll which abuts on a fixing member and rotates following it and move in the same direction as the cleaning roll in the contact area of the web with the cleaning roll.
SOLUTION: In a cleaning device for cleaning the surface of a fixing member 1 which can roll; the cleaning web 3 abutting on the cleaning roll 2 moves in the same direction as the roll 2 in the contact area of the web 3 with the roll 2 which abuts on the member 1 and rotates following it. It is desirable to constitute the roll 2 of an outer heating roll. The surface smoothness of the web 3 is set to ≥5 sec/ml in a smoothness test (JISP 8119) by a Bekk tester, and it is preferable to set the nip width in the contact area of the web 3 with the roll 2 to 5. 2-7.3 mm.
