Abstract:
Provided is a technique by which liquid components of ink remaining in a support for temporarily supporting the ink on the surface thereof can be satisfactorily removed in a short period of time without leaving liquid marks. Provided is a device for cleaning a support 432 for temporarily supporting ink on the surface thereof, the device being provided with: a solvent supply unit 461 for supplying a solvent S, which dissolves liquid components of the ink, to the surface of the support; a solvent removal unit 462 for removing the solvent S from the surface of the support 432 supplied with the solvent S and drying the surface of the support 432; and a liquid mark removal unit 464 which contacts the surface of the support 432 from which the solvent S has been removed and removes liquid marks M remaining on the surface of the support 432.
