To provide a clothes dryer reducing power consumption and shortening drying time by keeping the coefficient of Peltier unit result a satisfactory value over all of drying processes.
The clothes dryer or washing/drying machine includes an outer tub that the inside becomes a drying chamber at drying, a rotary drum rotatably disposed inside the tub and for housing a wash, a motor for driving the drum, an outer frame for supporting the drum and formed of a box body, a drying device having a blowing duct for blowing hot air through heating means and a blowing means to the wash inside the drum and a drain hose for draining water drained from the tub. Peltier components for heating air inside the duct through a radiating face are used as one of the heating means. A heat absorbing face of the component is disposed outside the duct. A suction means adjusts an introduction volume of outdoor air passing the inside of the outer frame, heated by exhaust heat or the like of the motor driving the drum and entering into the inside of the duct.
