To provide a production method solving peculiar problems in the production of an absorptive article provided with a folded member, stably and accurately performing the work of folding the member without the need of complicated apparatuses, and suitably coping even with the high-speed continuous production of the absorptive article.

The method for producing the absorptive article for which a folded member is interposed between a first sheet member and a second sheet member includes: a process of partially bonding a sheet-like working material forming the folded member to the continuous first sheet member and folding the non-bonded part of the working material; and a process of merging it and coating it on the upper side of the folded member formed by folding the continuous second sheet member immediately after folding the working material.
