Abstract:
To provide a looped suture of enhanced loop stability.
The suture includes: an elongate body including a proximal section and a distal section, wherein the distal section includes first and second overlapping sections and a loop; and a polymeric coating positioned on at least a portion of the distal section to reinforce the loop. Further, the suture includes: an elongate body including a proximal section and a distal section, wherein the distal section includes first and second overlapping sections, a loop and a distal aperture; and a polymeric coating positioned on at least a portion of the loop and across at least a portion of the distal aperture to reinforce the loop.
