Abstract:
To provide coated paper for tableware that has excellent toughness and durability and can be used for paper tableware for replacing from conventional plastic tableware.SOLUTION: There is provided coated paper for tableware, comprising: one pair of surface layers; and a plurality of middle layers placed between one pair of surface layers, in which the coated paper is configured in that: the surface layers and middle layers are mainly composed of softwood bleached kraft pulp and hardwood bleached kraft pulp, the surface layer has a surface coating layer containing completely saponified polyvinyl alcohol on the surface, a basis weight is 700 g/m2 or more and 1000 g/m2 or less, a density is 0.73 g/cm3 or more and 0.88 g/cm3 or less, a surface strength is 13A or more, a Z-axis strength is 380 kN/m2 or more, and a bending strength is 5.5 N or more. A mass ratio of softwood bleached kraft pulp on the surface to the hardwood bleached kraft pulp is preferably 5/95 or more and 15/85 or less.SELECTED DRAWING: None
