Abstract:
PURPOSE:To provide the coated tape optical fiber which facilitates identification of the fibers in the coated tape fiber. CONSTITUTION:A coating projection part 13 is formed on either one side at both end in the tape width direction of the coated tape optical fiber 10 constituted by paralleling plural pieces of optical fibers 11 and integrally coating the fibers. The identification of the fibers with the coating projection part 13 formed in the side part of the coating as an earmark is facilitated. The fibers in the coated tape fibers are easily identified even if a cable is constituted by using the many coated tape fibers in particular.
