PURPOSE: To prevent the leakage of an adhesive from rolls, by providing a gradient inclining to the directions of rotation of the rolls to both end surfaces of the side plate arranged across the end surfaces of a pair of rolls.

CONSTITUTION: A side plate 10 has such a trapezoid that the inner surface thereof is contacted with the end surfaces 1a, 2a of a pair of rolls 1, 2 and the upper part thereof protrudes above the rolls 1, 2 and both side surfaces 11a, 11b thereof form gradients inclining along the directions A, B of rotation of the rolls 1, 2. Therefore, the adhesive 3 squeezed between the rolls 1, 2 and the side plate 10 and exuded to the outside receives the force directing to the radius directions of the rolls 1, 2 by centrifugal force due to the rotation of the rolls 1, 2 and said force comes to force upwardly pushing the adhesive in cooperation with the gradients of the side surfaces 11a, 11b of the side plate 10 and the adhesive can be recovered to the rolls 1, 2.
