PURPOSE: To obtain a coating composition capable of forming a coating film excellent in designable property by using plural interferene color pigments having specific hue difference and provide a method for forming multiple coating film using the composition.
CONSTITUTION: This coating composition contain two or more kinds of interference color pigments and in the composition, when hue ring of the interference color pigment is divided into 100 and clock wise is displayed at +50 degree and anticlockwise is displayed a -50 degree and hue of one interference color pigment among these pigments is 0, at least one hue in the residual pigments is within the ranges of +40 to +50 and -40 to -50. This method for foaming multiple coating film is to use a coating composition as an interference color coating in multiple coating film obtained by applying the interference color coating and clear coating. Further, this method for forming multiple coating film is to use coating obtained by including two or more kinds of the interference color pigment as the interference color coating and use a coating composition as the interference color pigment in multiple coating film obtained by applying color base coating, interference color coating and clear coating.
