Title:
HIGH-VOLTAGE POWER SOURCE AND SHIELD POTENTIAL DETECTING CIRCUIT
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3685212
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide a high-voltage power source which can prevent the output of a high voltage when a high-voltage outputting connector is not connected to such equipment as the secondary electron multiplier, etc., by surely detecting disconnection of the connector from the equipment with a simple constitution.
CONSTITUTION: A high-voltage power source is constituted of a high-voltage generator 1, error amplifier 2, output voltage detecting circuit 4, output connector 10, shield 10a for the output connector 10, coaxial cable 11, and secondary electron multiplier 12. The shield 10a is directly connected to the noninverting input of the amplifier 7 while the shield 10a is floated from the ground potential and also a protective voltage Vs which is obtained by dividing the voltage (15V) from a DC power source by means of voltage dividing resistors 8 and 9 is supplied to the noninverting input of the amplifier 7.
