PURPOSE: The title coating that is produced by a process for forming a colloidal solute by thermal polymerization of a mixture of a fatty acid, metals salts and xylol and the other process for mixing the resultant solute and a coating at room temperature, thus being suitable for wood and cement.

CONSTITUTION: (A) a fatty acid such as lanolin, (B) a metal salt such as zinc naphthoate and (C) xylene are mixed and polymerized with heat to form a solute in the colloidal or grease form. Then, the solute is mixed with (D) a ketone and a paint or varnish and stirred at room temperature to give the objective coating.
