A robot for locking an object to be treated or clamping a housing basket for a treated object is included in the coating treatment system after plating, and a plurality of immersion vessels are arranged around the robot and at its circumference. The object to be treated is locked or the housing basket is clamped by the robot and the robot is displaced between the necessary immersion vessels so as to successively undergo immersion treatment. As a result, the transition to the unnecessary immersion vessels can be averted and a treatment speed can be improved without loss of time and without the occurrence of wastage in the treatment time.
