Abstract:
PURPOSE: To improve a coder by dynamically adjusting the contents of a code book by feedback updating processing to an optional relative speaker. CONSTITUTION: A code book is divided into a fixed part and an adaptive part. The fixed part stores a statistically selected sequence of voice residual signals expressing silence and the silent parts and transient parts of voice. The 2nd part is initially set up so as to store a sequence of voice residual signals expressing the voiced parts of voices obtained by averaging several voice corpora. The 2 part is updated during the period of current voice encoding processing. A code book part arranged on addreses between N1+1 and N1-1 is substituted for the contents of the code book in addresses between N1+L+1 and N+L-1. Then an once normalized final encoding book is substituted for code words arranged between addresses N and N+L-1.
