In a constitution of a hollow crucible capable of obtaining desired melting performance and an induction coil 11, only the height of the hollow crucible is extended so that almost all melting material corresponding to the capacity of the hollow crucible can be set in the hollow crucible upon initial melting, the induction coil 11 can melt melting material facing the induction coil 11, and a solid material above an upper part of molten metal can move on relative positions from a lower part of a side wall of the hollow crucible to an upper part while melting the solid material at the upper part of the molten metal into the melting metal below.
