To promote ignition by chimney effect by making a charcoal table stored in a support table of a collapsible barbecue table capable of being risen and lowered and lowering the charcoal table at the initial period of ignition and the time when fire abates, to enable the barbecue table to cook with a pot and the like in addition to usual barbecue by placing the pot while the charcoal table is lowered and to make the barbecue table sectional so that it is convenient to be carried.

The barbecue table which is assembled as a box form is set with a support rod 4, the charcoal tray 8, charcoal 10 and is ignited. Then, the support rod 4 with the charcoal tray 8 on it is slightly lifted up by a handle 5 and moved sidewise out of a slit support part and lowered. After the charcoal 10 is sufficiently ignited with the chimney effect by natural draft, the support rod 4 with the charcoal tray 8 on it is lifted and held at an upper part. Then, a wire mesh 9 is placed and barbecue is conducted. In the case of cooking with the pot other than barbecue, the pot 11 is set while the charcoal tray 8 is set at a lower position.
