Abstract:
To provide a color filter which realizes both high color reproducibility and high white luminance and an image display device using the same.
The color filter 11 constituted by arranging parts 11R, 11G, and 11B colored in respective colors corresponding to display elements 21R, 21G, and 21B on a substrate 1 is provided with a transparent part 11W which is not colored. Namely, a color filter 11 corresponding to one pixel for color display comprises an R part 11R, a G part 11G, and a B part 11B colored to the same area and a transparent W part 11W which is not colored.
