Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a coloring material transfer and recording method by which a high-quality color recorded image is easily and inexpensively formed by using a simple device.
CONSTITUTION: An image carrier consisting of a phase transition polymer gel layer 2 in which phase transition temperature Tc can be reversibly changed between two phase transition temperature TCH and TCL(provided TCH>TCL) by light irradiation is irradiated with image corresponding light (hν) so as to form a latent image consisting of different areas whose phase transition temperature Tc is TCH or TCL on the image carrier, the image carrier is set at temperature between TCH and TCL and the latent image is changed to the latent image consisting of a phase transition area and a non-phase transition area, and coloring material solution having different adsorptivity of the coloring material to the phase transition area and the non-phase transition area is supplied to the changed latent image, so that a developed image by the coloring material is formed. The coloring material adsorbing ability of an area adsorbing the coloring material is lowered and transfer paper 22 is allowed to about on the image carrier and the developed image by the coloring material is transferred to the transfer paper 22. Such stages are successively performed.
