Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a combination fiber that can exactly fix a reinforcing filament in a matrix, when it is heated, by combining filaments having mutually different melting point or decomposition points. CONSTITUTION: Filaments that have mutually different melting points or decomposition points are combined to form yarns, woven fabrics, knitted fabrics or nonwoven fabrics. They are combined so that the filament of higher melting point or higher decomposition point may be 50-90 wt.% based on the total amount. In a preferred embodiment, the filament having higher melting point or decomposition point is prepared by drawing the polymer with a high molecular weight at a higher drawing ratio and has a high tensile strength and high tensile modulus.
