PURPOSE: To enable an accurate estimation of an amount of processing expressing a combustion state of a furnace to be performed by a method wherein an amount of processing expressing a shape of a flame of a burner and a combustion state is measured, a relative relation with an amount of processing expressing a shape of flame and a combustion state in response to its result is identified by a returning model and the amount of processing expressing a combustion state is estimated in response to a shape of flame by applying this model.
CONSTITUTION: An image of a flame of a burner 2 within a furnace 1 is taken into a flame memory 7 by an ITV camera through an image fiber 4. An image of a flame taken into the flame memory 7 is sent to a calculator 8 through a transmittance path. The amount of processing expressing the combustion state of a burner 2, Nox, O2, CO and non-combustibles in ashes are taken into the calculator 8 through a process inputting device 10. At the calculator 8, a model expressing a relative relation between the taken flame image and an amount of processing expressing the combustion state of the burner 2 is identified, this model is applied and then an amount of processing expressing the combustion state of the burner is estimated and calculated in response to a shape of the flame.
