Abstract:

To provide a technology capable of setting symbol timing with high accuracy.

A communication device comprises: a reception part for receiving a packet signal; a timing identification part 251 for identifying symbol timing by utilizing a correlation operation result obtained by performing correlation operation on a short preamble signal included in the packet signal; an FFT part 204A for performing fast Fourier transform to a long preamble signal according to the symbol timing; a division circuit 261 for calculating a transmission path characteristic related to each subcarrier by dividing an output signal from the FFT part 204A by a signal in a known frequency region corresponding to the long preamble signal; an IFFT part 262 for performing inverse fast Fourier transform to the transmission path characteristic related to each subcarrier and outputting a transmission path impulse response in a time region; and a timing update part 263 for correcting the symbol timing by identifying declination of the symbol timing on the basis of the transmission path impulse response.
