Abstract:
To suppress communication failure due to terrain.SOLUTION: A communication failure suppression system includes: an on-water station provided with a first audio communication instrument; a water traveling body 3 provided with a second audio communication instrument; a first position detector; a second position detector; a storage unit storing water bottom terrain data; and a calculation device. The calculation device derives a virtual segment S connecting a position of the on-water station acquired by the first position detector and a position of the water traveling body 3 acquired by the second position detector. When a relationship between the virtual segment S and the terrain data fulfills a determination reference for starting communication failure suppression processing, the calculation device determines a traveling target position of the on-water station or the water traveling body 3 and transmits it to a controller of the corresponding on-water station or a controller of the corresponding water traveling body 3.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
