Abstract:
PURPOSE: To give remarkable flexibility to use of an interface or an operation terminal.
CONSTITUTION: In order to simplify the production of a terminal to use an IC card 3, the set of irreducibly minimum instructions is arranged at the terminal and a system is constituted so as to transfer the memory of instructions concerning more complicated use and/or the IC card 3 to the IC card 3. In order to execute these additional instructions, an address for designating one instruction out of the additional set is stored in a reserved memory 20 of the IC card 3. Further, a microprocessor 14 of the IC card 3 is provided with a microprogram for executing the instruction designated like this way and when the designation of the reserved memory 20 is detected by the basic set of instructions of this microprocessor 14, the designated instruction can be executed soon. Thus, the production of the extremely strong terminal can be simplified and rationally explained.
