NEW MATERIAL: An organic metallic complex of the formula, (where M is an alkaline earth metal cation or metal cation having an atomic number of 21-30, 39-48 and 72-80; x is valency of anion X; X is an anion; z is valency of cation M; the numbers of x and y are adjusted, so that the complex is controlled at neutral, when it contains two or more different cations Ms and/or two or more different anions Xs; L is an organic electron donative ligand; n is integer; and y is at least 1 dependent on the network formation of the complex).
USE: As an intermediate of organic metallic compds., a high purity electrolyte, an polymerization initiator or an antiknocking agent for gasoline.
PROCESS: The compd. of the formula is obtd. by allowing a source of metal M to react with a mixture of a source of an alkali metal and an anhydrous ammonium salt or a salt under the existence of an organic solvent and an organic electron donative ligand L on anhydrous conditions and collecting a reaction product from a reaction mixture.
