To provide the composite equipment with excellent utility while a restoration condition from an energy saving mode is changed in response to a content of a restoration request and a restoration cause is informed to an information processing unit so as to improve an energy reduction efficiency.

Once an operation request has been received from a personal computer connecting to the composite equipment in the energy saving mode, the composite equipment changes a supply state of power to an operation display section, an electric equipment system and a heater of a plotter depending on the completely energy saving mode or the simple energy saving mode and on the content of the operation request from the personal computer, that is, the scanner operation, the copy operation or the printer operation so as to maintain the state of supplying power to sections not required depending on the operation request while conducting properly the operation request.
