This composite glass plate body 1 comprises an outer glass plate 3, an inner glass plate 2 and a single or a double optical effect layer, as necessary, integrally formed therewith and has simple or complicated boundary edges 6 and glass plate edges 7 of both the glass plates 1 and 2. The boundary edges 6 are sealed with layers of a specific shape, corresponding to the geometrical form thereof and composed of a sealing synthetic resin. The layers of the specific shape have peptized surface formed by coating the sealing synthetic resin as a fluid emulsion and then drying the synthetic resin on the boundary edges 6 and are gradually thinned to end on the edges 7 of the glass plates in a stepless manner.
